Want a Domain Name?
A good place to start is to find a domain name. When you reserve a domain name, you're actually just leasing the letters. For a set fee per year, you control where a web surfer goes when they type in your domain name. You can use this form to check domain name availablity.

Reserving Your Domain Name
Once you find a domain you like and it's available, the next step is to reserve it. There are several companies online who sell (lease) domain names. These are known as registrars. typically uses Verisign which can be reached from the form above (Note, you should never pay more than $35 a year for domain leasing). The only piece of technical information a registrar may need to reserve your domain name is the location of where your website will reside. This location is your DNS Name Server information. It consists of an ip address and a server name. A Primary DNS and Secondary DNS are kept on file with your registrar.
